Need 2 questions answered for an 83 turbo

I am looking into a 83 turbo regal thats in really good shape just wanted to know if they came with the 8.5 rearend. and also are these early turbo motors pretty easy to build up with some basic ad ons. Thanks

I cant answer you on the easy to build questions but your 83 will have the 7.5" with a 3.23 ratio. There are more than a handfull of guys running 13's with the carb turbos. You might want to check out the b4black forum over at www.turbobuicks.com

I pulled a rear out of one (83 t-type) 7 years ago and it was a posi, 3.42 gears and 7 5/8 ring gear.
