I had posted a few weeks ago about the need for a new vehicle. I had a lot of good suggestions regarding my need for a truck and something with 4 doors to haul the wife and future kid (due in June). Anyways, I think I'm going to buy a 02 Harley Davidson F-150. Any thoughts? With a few mods they can be solid mid 13 second trucks, and a few are in the low 12s and 11s. Not that I'm going to be running that fast, but it's nice to know I have that potential in the future. ;) I've been able to find an 02 with the black and white interior that matches the GN for around 27k with 11k miles. Not too shabby IMO. Does anybody on this board have any opinions or experience owning/driving any of these trucks? I've already been on the Harley fourms, but I think you folks would have a more unbiased opinion of the subject.

Bashir, I had an 01 F-150 Supercrew. Was the best, most usable vehicle I have ever owned. I could haul 6 adults in total comfort, carry 3 dirt bikes in the back, pull my boat, and run to Home Depot without any worries at all. Most well rounded use of anything I found. Easy to drive and park too. Had an outragious turning radius also. Sounds like you have done your homework on it,, enjoy it.

Not to take away from the truck, but why not get a wagon? wagon's are cool:cool:

02 Harley Davidson F-150 = good choice.
I feel since it is only You, wife & baby this is a good choice cause you get comfort, hualability, speed under one roof.

I went to look at these harleys this summer at my Ford dealer.
I am torn, I love trucks & cars & speed.

My thought was to sell
GN, Daily driver OLDS & S-10 truck.

Thus buying 1 vehicle that can do what each 3 above could do.
Owning a house means a truck should be mandatory for the work you do.
Speed is nice to have on tap for those ricer romp moments.

& room for the family is nice too rather than ride out back in the truck bed :D

A little off-topic, but can a Ford Lightning haul a car on an open car trailer? Safely.

The Harleys have a 4500lbs towing capacity a bit lower than a regular F-150. I believe a Lightning has the same. THere is a guy around here that hauls his lighting on an open car trailer with his other lightning. :p
