One of my buddies is a motorhead like myself and has landed himself a race. Heres the deal, hes got a 91 civic with a 1.6 liter twin cam that makes about 135hp, 108 lb ft... its got a 5 spd tranny with a final drive of 4.25.. and the car's weight with driver is 2127 lbs. The most important factor I think here is that he is a semi experienced driver.
All is known about the opponent is that hes got a 60's stang with a 289, holley carb and headers and stock internals. Most importantly he has never raced before.
Im guessing that experience will make the difference here and that my friend will win out. In case you're all wondering this is another incident of a stang owner thinking his ability at bench racing is directly proportional to his ability on the track... worst of all he brought it on himself.
