I'm rebuilding my 87' Turbo T and want to get the biggest bang for the buck! This is a stock block, iron champion heads, roller comp cam 268h, roller rockers, ported intake, accufab 70 mm tb & upper plenum, precision stock location stretch IC. Don't know which converter i'm going to get but it's going to have a lock-up and stall around 3200-3500. I'm looking at : T66 , t70 ,GT6776a for turbos. I really would like a roller bearing unit but price is the big inhibitor.
Just woundered who got a great deal on a turbo like these latley?:)

Well, I am happy with a turbonetics T70 on a stock motor, so maybe go up to a 72 ball bearing unit in either a P-trim or a GTQ. Jack Cotton has good deals. I bought mine for $1,xxx.00. The TE67 (GT67) will be another good street turbo, I liked it up to 25PSI, but no more power after that:confused: . Red Armstrong sells the GT67 very cheap. I guess you should always consider the vendors on this board. Maybe they can work something out?

Had an order with Jack on a T66 but 7 weeks went by and he still didn't knowwhen it would be shipped.
I'm may be looking for an engine management system along with the turbo and converter. I need a way to control 83# hi Z injectors without selling the farm. I was thinking of shopping for all these items at one place and maybe get cut a killer deal:D

With the new FAST out, the old one is selling cheaper. Nothing wrong with the last unit.

i run a 66gtq with 83lb injectors a stock mod ecm
extender extreme chip 3.5 maf and translator plus
way cheaper than a fast and would put it up
against anyones tune on a fast for street driveability
it runs absolutley flawless with a 9inch converter
a true 10 sec daily driver:cool: :D

cdsttype- what stall 9" converter are you using with your combo? turbo2nr- how many pounds of boost have you run your T-70 at? over 25? any idea how much horsepower are the T-70s rated for?

No times at the track. Turbo is fully streetable. It will see 30PSI++ as soon as I have a free weekend. I expect it will run low 10s no problem. I just need heads and a cam (Cotton is shipping as I type). I will give it a shot first on a 100% stock motor, then get serious.
