Need Alternator Help..

Here is the deal, I got one of those 200 amp kit and reassembled my alternator a long time ago.. I am in need of a new one as I obviously do not know what I am doing. So I need some suggestions from Summit, or other specs.. Need to order asap.. Looking to spend a bunch less than 279 for the TBS one..

If you still need the 200 amps why not see if a local shop can rebuild yours? I like the 140 amp NEW unit that Pepboys sells for much less $$ but I don't have a need for twice the amperage of my house!

My impala 6inch alternator works great 140amps , and its only a few mods to install.

autozone will take your old alt as a core also

Maybe its something simple. Take it apart and see what went wrong. Shame to junk the 200A kit, i just installed the kit in mine, and still trying different pulley sizes to get the 90 amp output i need at idle speeds, with a/c on.
