anyone know where i can get a chip that will disable the EGR function on my 85' GN? i had to remove it due to my intake gasket not having an opening for EGR feed (i didnt notice this til the manifold was already back on). i already have a Kenne Bell chip, but i dont think it disables EGR

please point me in the right direction. thanks in advance

Call the Kenne Bell chip supplier or try http://www.turbotweak.com/

If that does not work, or if it is cost prohibitive, you may just want to reconnect the EGR. for now. I know it stinks, but it would cost you some time and the price of a new intake gasket.

Do you know what caused the “plugged hole” to the EGR?

PS:
Did you complete the 87 ECM conversion?

the plugged hole was caused by Felpro not placing the opening in the correct spot. i ordered a new gasket today to compare to my original and the EGR holes were in different locations. it seems this intake gasket applies to other GM motors, and their EGR location may be in a different spot. who knows

no, i have not converted to the newer ECM. right now im just trying to get the car running so i can move it out of the garage. upgrades like that will be done in the near future, but for now i cant have this car sitting for any longer while i install other stuff. im only installing stuff that i NEED to get the car running
