My governor is swiss cheesed on the small weight and pinned. Best auto shift at WOT is 5100. It has been recommended to me to raise the shift point even higher to 5400. I really can't cut anymore weight off for fear of weakening the small weight to the point of structural failure. What should I do other than shift manually?

John, same here.
My shift points were at 5K last friday and I am being told it should be much higher. What did you end up doing to get yours to shift higher? Link somewhere on the modification?

Anybody else with info on raising the shift point to around 5500?

thnks

Chris K said to increase the TV limit spring pressure. I just received my ATSG manual so I've not looked into exactly how this works. I do know that you have to drop the valve body. That's not so scary but not sure what pressure spring I'm looking for. I don't look forward to too many red shampoos.

Are you guys sure you need to raise the shift points? Do you know where your power bands are? I have been lowering my shift points and I have been going faster. I actually want it lower. Was at 5800, lowered it to 5400 and picked up. Felt smoother too since it wasn't revving past it's usable powerband. Now that I dynoed my car and peak HP with my stock cam is below 5K, I want to lower it even more. Raise the boost, not the shift point. Unless you have an aftermarket cam that is...... Just my opinion.
