So I have a freshly rebuilt AC Delco alternator and a brand new Casper Volt booster installed on my car-went to log a full throttle blast on my car with my Powerlogger and my "volts" are not seeing any increase at WOT with the Volt booster installed--which claims to give a 2.2V boost after 75% TPS to the entire electrical system....

Alternator is verified working at idle 13.5-14V output...

I also have the Racetronix Hotwire kit on the FP and running the DW301 Pump on E85...

Is there anyway to "test" the Volt boosters function off the car or am I missing something in diagnosing ??

i tried the WOT data log in the day-no headlights used--my voltage log on my powerlogger shows no increase in voltage at WOT so I'm assuming the ALt is n ot getting the extra charge its supposed to be seeing at >70% throttle..

see below on the instructions from Caspers

"Your alternator is designed to put out a specific voltage to your electrical system, typically 13.2 volts. The car battery can then be continuously charged while the engine is running. The problem with this system is when there is a greater demand on the electrical system—during wide-open-throttle—the alternator tends to fall short on delivery. Decreased system voltage, when you need it most, causes less than adequate fuel pump flow and ignition spark. The Vplus booster overcomes that inadequacy by increasing the system voltage by 2.2 volts at approximately 70% throttle. The result: ncreased fuel delivery, hotter spark and greater overall performance!"

John was on line not to long ago. He may see this post and answer if no one else does.

My first concern would be the "accuracy" of the Powerlogger reading?

Not sure of the wiring and circuits between the alt and PL, but it may not be reading or receiving the correct info?

Should not be too difficult to run jumper wires from the alt to a volt meter inside the car to check. To be sure the reading is true, both a ground wire and a power wire must go the alt.

Also, check the volt booster, I just had one returned which had bad crimps on a couple wires in a connector which were not making contact.
