Need Help Bad

Guy's I desperately need help with my car. I have a 84 GN that I have done the hot air receipefrom the digest. I thought my car was running pretty good until I went to Vegas and decided to make a couple of runs to se what it would do. It was PATHETIC. First run I turned a 16.174 @ 82.98. Second run was a 16.176 @83.24. I was embarrased to run it anymore because of the way the other cars were running. Made me look like a sick puppy.The engine is newely rebuilt, bored 30 over, little larger cam than stock,adj. fuel reg.,adj wastegate, boost guage, 160 thermostat, KN filter. I ran these times with the boost set at about 18 #s.. the car burn't the tires off at burnout and came off the line great but the times made me sick.

Yes I have a scanning device and all checks out normal. Just not up to the 800 Mv. But not that far off at wot. This is what is so puzzeling.

Give these guys some more info , maybe what your scan tool is reading . They might see some thing you don't see. It does sound like some is not right , i ran a 15.3 @90mph with no scan tool and just a 307 pump and adj reg.

How does your turbo look mine slowalot when my turbo started to go up on me.Or may be valve springs, bad exhust leaks or vac leaks.

How much Fuel pressure are ypu running with the Vacuum off, an what kind of chip? 85 ecm or 86/7? Electric fan? what kinda plugs, wires, and is the coil in good shape? I would try some serious tuning as well as Dave said. No 2 TR's are alike in my opinion. They have their own personality . As right now I would try decreasing boost and adjusting FP. Make sure theres no detonation and such. Its hard work, but it pays off. Hope this helps man.
