Hey Everyone,
I remember coming here one day and reading a post about how much a turbo and every lb of boost can increase horsepower by a certain amount.

It mentioned a youtube video that i ended up watching. It talked about the buick grand national engine and a guy who i think was part of creating the concept behind its motor. I know this guy is a big guy in the industry as far as turbo cars go and he has a big company. I beleive he said something like for every lb of boost you can expect to get 7hp? or 7% gain in hp or something like that.

Anyway, I was wondering if someone has seen this video and can give me a link to it. Wanted to see it again and show it to a buddy of mine.

Thanks

I cant post the link because of "web-sense" but type in Gale Banks. There is a two part series on turbo vs supercharging. He explains the power gain there.

Hope this is what you were looking for.

Patrick, I think you posted this up at the beginning of the year didn't you?

I remembered it from someone here.

I've always wanted to build a stupid fast diesel Malibu or El Camino for the street because of Gale Bank's work. Then I remember diesel prices... Still want to do it though.
