My Luck is sucking latley (job loss) & now my daily driver :(

I have a 1996 Oldsmobile LS 88. It has been a sweet car, 115k on it. Runs perfect but I am noticing a bucking after it goes into 4th (OD Gear) at 45 MPH & trying to accel to highway speeds.

Seems like the engine is not reving enough & the car starts to buck because the rpms drop from going into 4th.

If I toss the trans shifter back up to (D) Drive from (OD), the revs come up & it accelerates with no bucking issues.

What could this be?

Sounds like a secondary igniton misfire. In other words a bad plug wire.Put a new set on it will be fixed.

A few weeks ago I got a Code 360 which was CYL #6 Misfire.. I changed plug, coil for the #6/2, put in fresh gas & fuel injection cleaner just incase the injector is dirty.. The wires had been changed 2 years ago. can they go south that quick?
