Can anyone help? I should be running an 11 sec time slip, but I cannot seem to make it happen. Here is my info.

My car runs 12.4s @ 112-113 mph all night long.
Best 60ft times are 1.857 and 1.86, but usually 1.9s.

Two week ago:
Best run-
12.160 @ 112.65 mph 1.934 60ft

This was with 275/50-15 Nitto Drag Radial, 24#, 23/21 degrees of timing on 110 Oct and Alky Inj "on" (just in case)

Last night:
Best run-
12.11 @ 116.84 mph 2.011 60ft

This was with 26" tall Slick, TC locked, 25#, 23/21 degrees of timing on 110 Oct and Alky Inj "on" (just in case again)

**All runs have 0 - 3 degrees of KR. ** runs are safe.

Car cannot 60ft with the slicks. I should be seeing 1.6 or 1.7 by now??

I left with 12lbs of boost and it spun til 60ft (friend was looking).
My 60ft on this run was 1.997 - netting a 12.21 @ 114.98 mph.

How long to do a burnout with the slicks?

What tire pressure to start with?

I have dual air bags - Left / Right pressure?

Boost at launch 5, 10 , or 12 # ?

Any suggestions or info would be a great help.

Thanks

12-14 lbs in slicks. 18 lb in right air bag, 5 in left. Burn the MT's just enough to get a good white haze and then let out. Car should go 1.7's all day with a 10 lb launch and dipping into the 1.6's

Also, don't pedal the accelerator. Quickly build a few lbs boost, then mash it, quickly release the brake (you can feel the rear wheels start to turn), and hang on:D

See info I posted in this thread below and also search by keyword "launch" for similar threads. Also I run 28x9 MTs (bigger footprint for high boost launch), but have had success with even 235 26" BFGs. I have not tried this launch technique with my GN, and you can see the difference in 60' and ETs with fairly similiar mph. I see you removed your sway bar, which I just did also, but have not been to the track to try that yet.

DR Launch!!

Switch to 28" tall tires. You mph picked up with slicks because the slicks are .5" taller than the Nittos. Usually radials are much faster than slicks... unless the radials are too short.

Thanks for the advice, I was gonna post a similar question. I've done a lot of altering the launch, and everytime it feels like I'm putting too much to the tires. But tim, you say just mat it?? Can do! :D I'm heading to the track Thursday, I'll give it a shot building as much boost as I can, and just jamming it WOT.
