stock rear 3.42 with boxed upper and lowers

all braces front and rear.

poly bushings all through and all missing bushings put in.

Will be puting alky on also. Most likey razors kit

Ok so theres what I have. now for the questions??

What should I do to the long block ( it has to be rebuilt )

Pistons? JE's? Speed pro? Etc

heads? Stock ported? Champion? Roller rockers? Etc

Head gaskets? Whats the best?

Intake? Stock? Ported? Aftermarket?

Cam? whatever would work best with a gt-61 and a 3000 stall I guess??

Any parts im missing any where on the car please advise??

Looking to spend in the $1500 to $3000 range

This is a street car so driveablity is a factor. Looking to go fast with class!!

I don't want any new ZO6 making me sweat!!

I would like to get into the 10's if possible ;)

Any input will help

you want a motor built for $1500-$3000 that is capable of 10s and is prefectly streetable.

I will take a few of these too if you fine them ;)

A genuine 10 second motor will be in the neighborhood of $8000. totally stock rebuilds are in the $3000 range.

not trying to discourage you just trying to be realistic.

Ok so 10's is pushing it. low 11's maybe is more in the ball park it sounds like.

Just looking to spend around 3000 maybe more on long block parts ( pistons heads cam intake etc) .

Machine shop cost not included in the 3000 or so. Its just for the parts.

Just want to know what to buy so im not wasting money.

Whats the smart way to go with what I already have??
