Need some help, took the car out today to get some E85 for it. As the car comes up on boost when i was getting on the interstate and getting into the power . I watch the fuel pressure gauge drop down from 42psi to about 36psi. I'm thinking that I need a new fuel pumps. I have a Red Armstrong DP in the car. With -8 feed and -6 return. What do you guys think is going on? I can't find any leaks in the fuel system anywhere.

Have you checked your fuel filter? Clogged ?

Try and verify if the second pump is coming on, or even working at all.

There is also a good chance that the rubber connector hose to the in-tank pump may be leaking due to it being deteriorated because it now being subjected to alcohol.

We usually replace the fuel tank, pump if it is not e-85 rated and rubber lines, especially in the tank.

Alcohol will dissolve rubber, and the in-tank hose needs to be COMPLETELY impervious inside and out or it will fail.

The submersible hose for e-85 is expensive like $30 a foot, but necessary.

We have done many e-85 conversions which are not difficult, and have had learned many lessons the hard way which are sometimes expensive? :)
