need methanol compatible solenoid

I am looking for a solenoid that i can use with meth that will flow enough and be under 1 amp current draw. I will be removing my progressive controller from the car and let the ecu do the mapping to the solenoid instead. Any sources for solenoids. I can't let Julio go faster than me. I'll do whatever it takes

how much does the solenoid flow? is a single solenoid enough for a twin nozzle kit? I wonder if i build a driver circuit?

Probably be easier to map out a voltage output and use the controller. Since it works from 1.6 to 5volts.. you can increment output accordingly..

I hate solenoids.. but theyre needed sometimes.. but your asking to make one work progressive. that kills the seats in the solenoid. From the tap tap tap tap

If you could get a high speed valve, and run a fixed pressure that may work, problem is flow. There is a company .. FJO in Canada doing a system using this setup.

Looks like FJO wants $152 for the solenoid, but i can;t see it any different than a a regular solenoid? I will have to mesure the flow somehow of the progressive unit in ml at the same time interval at different simulated boost pressures?

Can i run the pump at the dead head pressure of 220 psi or what ever it is?

Dunno.. just a fuel injector.. there is only so much pressure you can put behind it or it will lockup. Or not allow it to close/shutoff once open. The FJO pump is a bypass pump, whereas springs are used to set pressure. The valve I dont think can flow what your trying to do.

I had once thought about using injectors to do the trick, but there are several problems:

1: cost of injector
2: life of injector - seals don't hold up, from the drying, wetting, etc...
3: the frequency required - you would have to pulse it faster than one injector on a rail... much faster. The other option is to use several in sequence, but see # 1.

I would nix the solenoid idea... that is basically a "slower" and less robust F.I. Aquamist uses a solenoid but then again, they're only used for the wasser.

I've been working on something with a lil "freak-factor" to replace all this compatibility junk... but like I said, y'all will have to wait for that monster. Meh, it's not like it would be that cheap anyways but control would be, well let's just say, * good *
