well lets see, 30 races, and only 20-21# of boost, which is less than what I run, so lets be liberal and say you use 1/2 cup of methanol each 5 sec blast, thats 4oz, 30x4 = 120 oz.....not even a gallon...so 5 gallons ought to do you an entire year like it does me...but the boost gets addictive when its on tap so when a little doesn't do, a little gets more and more....kind of like the Gun 'N Roses song...:) It took me a long time to convert over to use Methanol, but the money I spent in race fuel and xylene and my time makes me wonder why I didn't do it along time ago. If you keep your boost at that level and you have the alerts to tell you when you get knock and you pay attention to them, then the risk is no more higher than normal of damaging something. 21# is a lot of hot air for a stock turbo, but my GT61 has a much cooler charge temp, and the CAS V4 IC cools alot too which allows me to run 20# safely with no alky and pump gas with no knock, so I run 24# all the time with alky with is much on the conservative side...as you raise boost, you have to raise the ramp up on the alky which will consume more alky. I encourage you to read more about it and frequent the alky forum, the failure rate of Razor/Julios pumps is almost non-existant. Mines beens on 2 years without a hitch. And if you want to run more boost sometime and don't feel comfortable about, then add some race fuel to the tank along with the alky injection, works great, but you'll find many running 28# and pump gas, the key is keeping the timing lower than you would with pure 116 race fuel..at least for me :)

I think a tank usually lasts me about 1.5-2 tanks of gas. I have absolutely no problems with getting on it though! $500 bucks is a big outlay, especially if you only run a couple of tanks a year but, if you're like me and drive your car allot (at least when it's running:)) then it's probably the best bang for the buck mod out there. By the way that was running stock long block with 23-24 pounds of boost on a stock turbo. Happy racing and congrats on only losing three races. james

oh good lord... 96 bucks for a 55 gallon drum to my driveway? are you kidding me? are you trying to get my drivers license taken away??

By the time I was thru with that drum, id need new tires, new driveshaft, new u-joints, new transmission, motor mounts, axles, more tires and clutch packs...
