My regal has 231 with hooker headers,600 cfm edelbrock carb(1406a),edelbrock alum intake, edelbrock matching cam and lifters with ede timing chain kit,14 inch ede signature air cleaner with 14 by 3 inch filter--true dual exhaust with gutted cats into thrush glass packs----can anyone recommend a nitrous kit --i was thinking about holley 05090nos top shot the one that mounts on top of the carb--any thoughts--thanks

Just about any square bore plate system will work. NOS powershot, etc. Just be careful with how much nitrous you spray. Make sure you have enough fuel. Many people have a dedicated electric fuel pump just for the nitrous system.

Nos

What would be a good dedicated electric pump -- does this go into the tank or does it need its own fuel line from the tank?
By squarebore does that mean spreadbore or holley/carter design--a mechanic told me that edelbrock carbs are rebuilt carters and they bought out the carter design.
Thanks for the reply---i was thinking about the top shot hidden system from holley

Is your car running an electric fuel pump now? If it is you may already have enough fuel flow. If you have a mechanical fuel pump then you may need additional fuel. Most people tee off of the line at the tank and run a pump and seperate line to the fuel solenoid. They wire it to come on when the system is armed. This is insurance to make sure that you have enough fuel and don't run lean in case the mechanical pump can't keep up. Any good external electric pump should be sufficient.
Yes, squarebore is the Holley, Edelbrock pattern. Quadrojets and thermoquads are spreadbore. About the top shot. I think it only sprays nitrous and does not add fuel. On these type of systems you need to enrichen your fuel mixture by installing larger jets. This will affect your fuel economy. A plate system supplies it's own additional fuel so it only affects your mileage when you use it. Plus IMHO I think a plate would make more power and since your car is not exactly a sleeper they look pretty tough.
