Need some DOS help with Direct Scan

I am very rusty with DOS and I am attempting to upgrade my software version of DS. I have an older laptop that is loaded with nothing but DOS. I originally copied the DS software to the harddrive of my laptop like it recommends in the DS booklet. I now have the later version of DS on a floppy but how do I install that in place of the original version that I loaded on the computer. I tried going thru the same commands that I did to load the software originally but apparently that wont work. Thanks for the help.

Should just be a simple copy command like " copy a:\ds*.* c:\xxxxx , with the xxx's being the directory you have ds file in... Nothing to install, just copy...What error are you getting ?
