after seeing some recent "girl trouble" topics i thought I'd try to get some ideas on my situation. I dont have any trouble, I'm in a GREAT relationship but heres the deal....
Our 2yr annv. is coming up and I dont want her to be disappointed. Well i think no matter what I do she will be happy but I'd like to go the extra mile. The whole dinner, flowers, jewelry thing is old news. Kind of expected. I want something different. Any ideas. keep in mind that I'm also on a fairly tight budget. something i did for her b-day last year we got a hotel room near six flags and partied the night b4 then went to six flags all day and spent the night together at a place in philly(penns landing). It was a great time. something like that would be cool but it will be in mid november and i cant think of anywhere neat/cheap to go. dont let that sidetrack you tho, i'm open to ANY suggestions. thanks, steve

You want to surpise her...Dump her....Na I'm having the same problem, I'm coming up on my 1 year, and I have no idea what to do...We live together and have a joint checking account so it makes it hard to surprise her.

I vote you tie a bow around your tallywhacker and greet her at the door naked.

One of my buddies did something kinda cool for his wife. He got a big box, like probably 3 feet cubed, and filled it with stuff like notes, candy, lingerie, little ballons, stuff like that. I think it was for valentines day. He delivered it to her at work himself, so of course all the other women were jealous. Instead of one big thing, it was a whole bunch of little things. He wrapped the box up real nice too. What you put in it will show her you spent considerable time and effort on this project, which is what she really wants, not flowers or effortless gifts.

Your coming up on your one year and you have joint checking?
When you met her were you wearing a big cardboard sign that said"Abuse me"?

LOL...It's not quite like that...I have my own checking, she has her own, and we have a joint account mostly for rent purposes...Oh and I'm gonna marry her, no doubt...I know I'm taking a chance, but I've never been so sure about anything in my life.

I'm just busting your stones a little,But your right ,I've been married for 2 years now. You know when you have the right chick.

Nice to know someone understands...usually I just get busted on.

Now I can't hi-jack this thread any longer I'm starting to feel bad.

Bout a nice bed and breakfast deal?

i actually did something like the alot of little things for xmas last year. i could put a twist on it tho. I also have access to a CNC machine at work. for our one year i cut out a heart in a piece of 3/4" oak and CNC'd our names and date in it and also a hole for a picture. I could make her sometihng again but i dont know what.

last year she got me a calender made w. pics of us in it and a frame engraved w. our names and wrote me a letter that summed up our first year. i dont want to copy her or nuthin, shes stealing all the good ideas!

and about the marry her comment, hell no. not even thinkin aobut that until im like 26  ;)

thanks for the help so far guys.

What kind of things does she like? Animals, cars, little porcelain figurines, surfing, skeet shooting, beer, books? Let us know a little about this lady and we'll help you come up with something to really impress her.

Always remember that something you put a lot of thought into goes a long way!! We gals are pretty much suckers for that sort of thing .. Has she mentioned that she likes something you've seen while out (shopping) or mentioned she always wanted to do something or go somewhere ... doesn't have to cost a lot to mean a lot. -- we love to think you'all actually listen to us! Props to you for wanting to do something special.... sounds like something my man would do for me -- some of us gals lucked out! I know I did. Good luck to you!
