I helped a buddy change his Torque Convertor (he went from a lockup to a non-lockup). We installed the non-lockup valve in the pump and removed the check ball and o-ring from the input shaft. Then we adjusted the TV cable according to the GM service manual. His car went from having crisp firm shifts to having problems. The best way I can describe it is as follows:
Under WOT, it's like the car is momentarily shifted into "Neutral" between shifts, causing the RPM's to briefly spike and the car to lose power. Any help would be appreciated very much.
Thanks in advance ...................... BW Jones

Stupid question but,

Ck the fluid level again. It may have "burped" They can do this from time to time. If all ok, install a pressure gauge and go for a ride. Report back
