Im looking into doing a V8, EFI. Im going on a budget so its Tune port inject, and i want a after market harness, EMC, and Injectors. What distribitor can a EMC run?(Chevy V8 89-96 block), thinking of installing a sump in stock tank, Aremotive 1000 pump. Is there a Hose kit, or any info on what kind to get with return line. All the little thing that seem small i need to know. Thinking of going with a (FAST) emc. Will the EMC run Electric fans? If so can i use fans of a donor car. When installing a after market harness, i will still need to use any of the cars wiring?

look up efi connection and do a full LSx ECM and individual coil pack setup. You can junkyard or ebay most of it and buy a complete bolt in setup with new harness right from them. they work great and the quality is very good. Buy HPTuners and you are all set, dont get any easier than that!
I am doing the older engine TPI, the LS cant work with this can it? Thanks for the reply!!

Hey Gary when are you doing another one .I just finished up an 67 Chevelle with LS1 and 4L60E. am doing another LS1 in an 70 Chevelle right now waiting for a crossmember from BRP

Several items..
1. There is no "pcm" control for a 350 trans, in the LS based pcm.
2. The inj [IFR] has to be calculated and loaded via one of the aftermkt tuning suites, such as EFILIVE. There would be considerable more tuning/changes required to do this.
3. If you need trans control, the best solution is to use either the 4L60E or 80E transmission.
4. Mods to the harness will require tuning the pcm to delete various unused inputs.. Again, EFILIVE can do this.

Ok, bear with me on this. Ive read you tune the PCM for 6speed manual trans to run the 350/400 trans. Now this EFILIVE is it a programer i order, or a place to send PCM to be tune?

U can use the M6 program w/ a 400.The PCM will have no interface w/ either the 350 or 400.
EFILIVE is a tuner tool. It will require "licenses" to tune a PCM.[Each VIN requires a license. Once you have licensed that VIN, there's no further expense for license.] If the PCM is a 98, no lic is required. A license is $100.00, so just getting into a PCM is not free. Scanning a system is free. You can scan all the cars/trucks you want w/o a license being "spent".The tool is about $700.
