I am about to install the inline pump before the weekend starts. Where do you guys feel would be the best place for it? I'd like to hear from the experienced crowd. I thought maybe close to the fuel filter location would be a good place. LMK what you guys think please!

Whats wrong with the in-tank 340 type pump?

Nothing wrong with it. It is just more $$ and more effort of the installation/removal process. I'm just running a neart stock setup. That is sufficient for now.

I think its faster to drain and drop the tank than modify fuel lines, add electrical, hope for no leaks, etc. Understand its an FI system meaning it runs at higher pressures. So hoses, clamps, etc have to be properly rated.

Typically in-line pumps are done when someone is running out of fuel at WOT. So for a stocker its not needed.

And their noisy  when mounted externally.

Most I have seen have been where the fuel filter is at.

Good luck. On my car, I wouldnt do it.

I see. Makes perfect sense. According to the mods in my sig, I should be border line with fuel right? So far, it runs ok. Just need to fine tune it so I can get down to high 13's where I should be at. Right now I got the radiator to be flushed. Gonna replace the O2 even thought it appears to be working fine. I have noticed when the signal lights are flashing, the pump's voltage drops because I can hear it. Got the new wire kit as well. Just need to intstall when the radiator goes in.

I just finished (literally an hour ago) installing a walboro 340 and hotwire kit. Took me about 5 hours taking my time, Really Really taking my time. It honestly was one of the simpler things to. Follow the instructions from the link.

do.Fuel Pump Remove and Install

My car would fall on its face and hiccup at full throttle. When I removed the pump I found a splice in the line where someone jerry rigged a cheap aftermarket pump. A freaken Splice in the power wire!! STUPID STUPID. Im actually going to take a pic and post it tommorrow.
Plus the pump was beginning to whine like a kinder gardener for their juice.

A factory pump will support your mods. Just not a 20 year old one.

For a GN boosting to 16 PSI.. anything new will work. For a GN boosting 25+ PSI boost.. then we get technical. By the looks of your mods, any pump will be fine. If you want to do the 340 type Walbro.. fine.. its the same trouble to put in a Walbro as it is a POS pump. They both require draining/dropping the tank.

A hot wire kit is nice too.. but again for stock boost levels you dont need to get complicated.
