I was just wondering who people think the best college player were that never won the heisman. I think this year it will happen again. The voters will take the stats of a QB and over look a pure WR. There is no doubt in my mind Larry Fitzgerald is the best player in college. In the past thou i think these guys should have won:

Hugh Green
Raghib"theRocket" Ismail

There are many players that were great in college that could have won also because of stats and achievements but i think these two along with larry fitzgerald were the best players in college football when they played. These players could take over a game at anytime and i think thats what the trophy is really about. I think certain guys just benifit from being on awesome teams. here is the lists of winners and who was on the ballot http://www.heisman.com/winners.html

I agree Cutty.....

Fitzgerald is THE BEST player in college football today. BUT like you said...the QB get all the press coverage and recognition. Its a damn shame....the boy is the best WR I have seen in a long while. If the ball touches or is in the vicinity of his fingers....IT GETS CAUGHT...PERIOD!!;)

Jason White when he leads OU to the championship should win the heisman he deserves it. Fitzgeralds team has too many losses.

that's BS cause the heisman is not for the most valuable player but its even states on the trophy "most outstanding". I barely even know who white is. Think of all the people who were on crap teams that didn't win nothing and won the heisman. Pitt has two losses and could realistically win out. Even so a player shouldn't be punished for his team. But larry still has another year b4 he can play in the NFL. Everyone in the stadium knows Pitt is throwing the fade once they are inside the 25. You put it up to larry and you can't stop without commiting a penalty and even then he still makes the catch. Big games against VT and Miami will land him the heisman regardless of what White does or doesn't do. Guys on ESPN are startin to push for larry, the fans want it, I'm sure Pitt will get Tony D to make a campaign for him. November 29 is the key date. All i gotta say is go OSU

Another vote for TOUCHDOWN!!! Tommie Frasier;)

Ahh, the good old days

Tommy would have beat Eddie George if Danny Weurful hadn't split the quarterback vote.

At least he got revenge on Danny by kicking his ass in the title game. That was my favorite Steve Spurrier moment of all time.
