Went to BB yesterday to complain about the Avital alarm that they installed 6 years ago. They no longer carry that brand of alarm (only for remote start) so they installed a new Viper alarm for free. They come with a lifetime warranty. Both are made by Directed Electronics, though. But now I also have the key fob controlling the remote trunk release One of my complaints was that the alarm was draining the battery. I see in the instructions for the new alarm that it has a power saving circuit. I hope it works. Car would start after a month of sitting with the alarm fuse blown, but would be dead after a week of sitting with the alarm engaged. I also think the alarm was responsible for blowing the fuse, but that's another story. The only other things on the circuit is the dome light, foot well lights, and power door locks.
