Boost is set at 25 in first, creeps to 27 at the end of the run.
Neal, they turned out to be 75's.

Your performance is really impressive. I still don't get the deal with the 75 LB injectors though. Do you have an EGT in the car?

Didnt you know that 3" downpipes are restrictive and make your car slow?
Just kiddin...had to say it. ;)
I love that intake tube! Who makes it and how much?
So unbelievable that a 6 banger can do that in such a heavy car. Your 1/8 mile trap speeds are fast for a 1/4 mile run!
What intake and heads are you running? What cam?

This would be a good car to test the 5" dp when is RJC donating you one?

Thats what i was thinking. Given what he's pulling off with a 3", this would be a great test of the monster DP.

Neal. I am not real sure. I have an Autometer EGT. It used to read about 1550, and the car was slower. BUT I am sure but not how much the thermal barrier coated exhaust and pistons are skewing the results. Now the gauge just pegs (only goes to 1600). A/F is 11.4 in the upper cells. Plugs look good too. I don't get it either.

And yes. Jace, if you are reading this, I will test your pipe for you. ;) Everyone including me wants to see results. I am sure you sold many more PP's after some actual EGT data comparison was presented. I know I did.

vadersv6, the intake pipe is from ESP, heads are TA, intake is Champion ported stock. Cam is 224/224.

SUch a big cam? WHat gives? I thought buicks don't need a cam, everyone says im off my rocker with 600 lift and 230@050 on my next build??

Were you using the Alky kit on those runs?

And what turbo is that? I see its water cooled

Looks like an Innovative.

I thought it looked similiar to that Xtrim unit,BUt i think Tnetics used that purple plate also

I was wondering on the Alky kit cause that might be were he is not out of injector if he is using both nozzles. And that will also keep intake temps around ambient

If he's running Alky that might help explain only using a 75 LB injector. The secondary fuel enrichment from the Alky would compensate for having an undersize injector.

No alky. Just another variable I don't want to mess with (right now). I am not happy with any part of my tune except the upper rows after I'm at full boost. Having trouble with my middle range cell numbers and AE vs. MAP. It is an Innovative 70Q.

And about the cam. How big it is depends on who you listen to. The power is in the heads. The heads flow very well at part lift, not to mention full lift. They obviously like this cam. It drives better than stock, pulls 17" vacuum, and make good power. It also is a pretty agressive lobe profile, and is on a 110 LCA. Which also should not great depending on who you listen to. But I think it is a good idea with the 9.1:1 compression, to keep cylinder pressures liveable.

Oh yeah, it's a solid cam. Those also won't work in these engines. And it is actually 220/219 with a .016/.018 lash. .

And furthermore, the knock sensor still seems to work (the 'ol tapping test, even works while holding rpm).

John, we have taken the TA heads a step further after we finished yours. There is more available when you want it. :)

Good job!

Curious what are these heads worth with all the good stuff/ ported etc?

Thanks.

Damn, please come work on my junk!

Mr. Wilde, I don't think I got anything on your skills. As your sig says, I bet you could show me a trick or two.

Hey Nick, I was a little late sending the money I owe you with Xmas and all, but you should see it anyday. I'll probably holler at you next week anyway.

And LV GN, thanks. Still stoked about your tranny. It's great!
