I'm surprised no one had any comments about my new best. I think its pretty good for a 150,000 mile motor with new valve springs and timing chain.

I went back to the track today, it was a bad day for racing. Strong head wind, multiple oil downs, and tons of cars. I only got 3 passes all day. I guess being the last day for racing this year, everyone came out.

A lot of the bracket guys were saying they ran 3-4 tenths slower today than last sunday.

My best pass was 12.3@106 with a 1.7 60'.

So with the 3-4 tenth handicap for the day does that mean I had an 11.9999 pass? I guess I'll have to wait till next year!!

hope you know i am kidding that is outstanding!!!!!!. i told you about raising your timing will raise your o2's. 23/21 you were getting knock. same with me. the timing that you have 26/27 is that 26 in first and second and 27 third and fourth or is it 27 first and second and 26 third and fourth. i would run 27/26 then since you have no spool up problems i would leave static at 47 and pull fuel in all gears at wot 2% at a time and monitor knock if it tickles the knock i would raise the alky a smidge while going and see if it zaps it if not lift and reverse wot fuel and play with fuel pressure. also i would try 20 psi in those nittos

I need to get some taller sidewall tires so I can get this car to launch. I'm also still having issues holding boost consistently. I'm ready to throw in the towel with this vacuum brake setup and go to hydroboost.

How is the back? Heard you have Chimpanzee discs now?

I love my hydroboost. been haveing some sputtering problems , got that fixed today it was the gap on the plug. Anyway i can leave at 20# no problem with the hydroboost. just make sure you get the cannister with it.

thumbs up on the new best. it always make you feel better when your car runs the best.

back is slowly getting better thanks. as for the chimp disc who knows maybe. i have been masterbating alot lately. i still cant get over your times that is great.
 
Congrats, but you can got faster. Ive run countless 12.0-12.2 passes on my stock turbo GN at Cecil. And I have a TT alchy chip with default 24°/23° timing settings...:eek:

Best to date is a 11.98@111.50 with a 1.64 60', on bald MT DRs through the exhaust. With a stock 100K rear suspension (except springs & shocks), including swaybar. All I have is a ported stock turbo, IC, and plenum running a RJC PP. All the basic upgrades including THDP and Hooker catback.
 
I would port the compressore housing on that stock turbo. Just pull it off and hog it out. Mine went from low 12s to low 11.8s just porting it out!

Just messin with ya. I'm gonna do some body work this winter, maybe I'll get this thing looking good by the year 2050.
it looks great now!!!! and runs great too. i bet gm never thought that their gn would never run like that from just raising boost and fuel. no other gm car ran like that with stock equipment

Yeah, i heard about the monkey back, lol... How does the new back feel vs the old one?
I just had another epidural in mine right before our family vacation in florida a few weeks back. Mmmm feels alot better :)

I usually get to BG on monday, leave saturday, so definitely stay longer man, last year was OK, usually we cook out but it was not in the cards last year.

Maybe i will race again this year :confused:

Thats a good 60 ft. i believe you need the 7.59 & under to get that 11.99

I also gotta 7.66 at your 87mph year before last with a 44 & a little more stuff than you have (also 44 deg. outside temp) so with what you have now yes id say thats Great!! knockin on 11s door. be careful & with a good burnout , launch with the e-brake at about 8-10lbs of boost!! That'll get er done with good weather.:eek:
