Well looking into a Mini Van-sticker says $24,000,its been like 10yrs (95) since I bought a "new" car,,what should I pay....

thanks for any help.
Its a Dodge Caravan SXT if that helps any...

Dennis:)

I would have thought they would have been higher than that for a brand new one. But from what I understand mini-vans have a terrible resale value if that concerns you at all.

You can pick up a one year old one and save 30-40%

Something to think about.

1% over invoice before all the rebates is the maxium you should pay. If you have decent credit you should be able to get a low note also. Do not pay any dealer extras like etching etc.

Build it on edmonds or any car website that will get you invoice costs.Send emails to all dealers in your area with your price, you will get a great response.

Do you really want one? I know some folks who sell current year used for cheaper with low miles. Send me a PM; maybe I can help. Won't make me a dime but I don't mind.

Buy used!

I bought my wife a 98 Pontiac Trans Sport/Montana in January. One payment of $2,995.00. My thanks to the previous owner for absorbing nearly all the depreciation. :D

what to pay

:D I sell new and preowned vehicles. Pay invoice or no more than $100 over invoice less all rebates and incentives. The dealer is willing to show you the actual invoice or you walk... :D

Band Aid, there are a lot of newer mini vans in California for sale. Would be worth a plane fare and a nice road trip to come out and save some big dollars to get one. Just a thought since every morning I see you guys are still fighting winter. lol
