hose from pvc to one inlet oil drops in can the other outlet goes to throttle body with check valve in line so it doesnt pressurize can buy check valve from link that bandaid put on. you might as well buy th 1/4 inchers to replace the factory ones there only $1 or so

Thanks for the install directions.

I've got the PCV check valve on one car, guess I'll get one for the WE4 as well. Have to move it to the far side of the can I presume.

Shouldn't be too big of a plumbing issue. :)

Does the can have any brass wire mesh in it or did you use any in yours?

Anyone think it's needed?

no just empty for 20 bucks with shipping it wouldnt hurt to try has to get all oil out from pvc hose thats all amtech are is empty

Looks like a pretty good deal, and something I would think a lot of our cars could use.....

I made one out of a condensation catch, made by SMC pneumatics. Its real purpose is to catch water in air lines before it enters whatever pneumatic assembly you have. We build automation equipment, so there were alot of these laying around. Its made out of polycarbonate and has a steel body to it. Good for 125psi. But it has windows through the steel frame that allow you to see how full it is. My car has quite a bit of blow by, so I have to empty it out like every week to week and a half. probably fills up to about 1/4 cup of oil when I drain it. The cup part has a little lever you pull back. Then you just rotate the cup and it pops off. Very convinient. Alot of guys dont know however, that you should never drain this oil back into the motor, since blowby condensation tends to be very acidic. I run a line off the vacuum block (the line for PCV), and go to a factory PCV valve. From there to the catch can, and then to a PCV valve with a 90 degree fitting on it. I dont know what car this PCV was made for, but its the right size and allows me to run a vacuum line in from the side. It was a lifesaver cause the blowby fumes coming out of the breathers were so intense that i was always coughing and choking. Not only that, but the drivers side breather would get so wet that it would drip ALOT of oil onto the wire rail on the drivers side valve cover and then onto the header. Its a pain constantly having to drain the oil, but well worth it.
I cannot believe how cheap they're selling those things for! It looks top notch, and uses the "push pull" fittings for the hoses. They look like SMC fittings. Those 2 fittings alone should cost 10 bucks, let alone the machining costs, hose, hardware, anodizing....I dont get it.

neither do i i was going to use the ones like you did but i saw these and mine is black and there made from aluminum

Got a payment confirmation from them today, that's a good sign. :)

Tracking info. should be valid in a day or two they said.

Hopefully I'll "get it". ;)

Now to order a pile of cool check valves.

I know most of the water separators use mesh probably not needed for the oil.

dont worry about not getting it i got mine in 4 days. there are gaskets for the two inlet valves put form a gasket on them and the threads to make an air tight seal when you take off the inlet valves. one has a longer tube than the other one. the longer one goes to the pcv valve the shorter tube goes to the throttle body. put a check valve in between the throttle body and the can so to not pressurise it also there should be no building crankcase pressure with those COOL new valves

Got the can today.

Boy you sure do get lots o' stuff for $23.87 shipped to your door. :D

Hose clamps, cool fittings and the black can with all the mounting stuff.

Well worth the money.

Got a confirmation from US Plastics on the valves today that they shipped, bought a bunch of them for $25 or so. Can't beat that site either. :)

Gonna wait for my Feb. emissions test then do the install. ;)

Just got mine delivered. There is problem with the "check valve" that was in the kit (does not check ......LOL). Two machined AL pieces connected with some hose. One AL piece does not have a hole (looks like may be the drill broke during machining and they never caught this). One would think they would have caught it in the assy process?

I will contact the supplier. Just wondering if anyone have a problem with this?

Just put in a order for mine alone with those check valves that banaid posted the link for does anyone have any pics of this on there car yet?

I ordered mine a week ago - how long did you have to wait before you got the can?

That to the the 1,000,000 question.
If it was a "check valve", it sure has no indication of a "valve" in it.
I'll let you know what the seller says.

I don't think that thing in the kit is supposed to be a check valve.

It's plugged on one end solid aluminum and the other end has a hole with a tiny leak in it.

My guess is it's a "metered orifice".

Final answer.

I think it'll be good for a couple of clamps and two chunks of aluminum. :p

Not much else. ;)

Anyone use that way cool blue semi-clear hose with the install or just use PCV hose?

Well the seller responded and appologized for the quality control issue.
It was stated that they have not heard of any other such problem but will be happy to replace the unit if I send the old one back.

I replied and asked if this "thingy" is supposed to be a check valve and where it is supposed to be installed at. In addition ....... I told them there are a few in the TR community that have run into this issue. I will let everyone know as soon as I find out more.
