Fever, headaches, constant irritating cough, ache's and pains like a truck hit me, completely stuffed up head, can not take deep breaths or I will cough like crazy, out of breath Very fast, even the energy taken to talk makes me cough and almost out of breath.
And here's the kicker, the doctor told me it's a virus and it will just have to run it's course! Thanks Doc, here's your money!
Well it's going to have to run it's course with - Musinex Fast Max, Green natural death flavored NyQuil, Advil....
So far since last Saturday it has not broke at all and i'm still not coughing anything up.... This truly Sucks!
Sounds almost like what my brother and his family had,I think they called it fifths disease or something.Same deal doc said it has to run its course,no antibiotics will cure it.I think he he was out of commission almost a week.Hope you soon feel better.

When we were sick as kids my Mom would open a Coke and let it go flat and give it to us. I think it was just a sugar boost but it made us feel better (or at least we thought it did).
I was sick for a couple days last November. I still have the cough, while not as bad, still is annoying. I have to carry cough drops everywhere I go. Talking aggravates it. Otherwise I'm fine.
nature is giving us increasingly tough viral infections- it's evolution in action.
if you are one of those people that washes your hands 10 times a day and uses purell whenever you touch a doorknob, you are doing your part to make it worse.
It's a bad year for illness here in Eastern Iowa too. It just won't stop it seams. I have a child in daycare though so she brings home the petri dish every day it seems.
We had something going around near Chicago. It wasn't too fun. What did you expect from the doctor? I have yet for them to tell me something useful. Hey doc, my leg hurts. Try not to put so much weight on it. OK doctor obvious, here's your money.
I had this in late January and lost 10 pounds I didnt need to lose. Prior to that I havent had an illness of any kind in about 8 years. Aches and absolutely couldnt breath. I ended up goin to the doc and getting a z-pac. She said it was that or get admitted to the hospital for pnuemonia. I havent had antibiotics for at least 10 years, so I took them out of fear. It had gotten pretty bad. Symptoms seemed to linger for a long time. Wouldnt wish it on anyone.
I was also prescribed steroids[prednisone] and given a couple of breathing treatments at that time. This combo seemed to give me some instant relief. I do wanna stress I am not a go to the doctor kinda person but it was obvious to me I had waited too long to take action. I had all of the same symptoms.

If this doesn't get any better in a day or so it's to the Hospital for me... WAY too much down time and this not being able to breath crap is killing me, it's like I have to take small little baby breaths just to breath and not cough.... SUCKS!

I had this same thing at the beginning of the year and worked through most of it. I did finally have to take 2 days off and sleep most of it. Drink lots of gator aide which will loosen up the stuff in the chest when you cough and be prepared to see some nasty stuff come out. After 2 days of being down I went back to work and felt like a baby I was so weak. It went through the entire shop for a couple of weeks but it takes weeks to get rid of it and at least a week to get back somewhat to normal. Get better bud.
