Hey all......Just wondering what some of you have spent on paint jobs????? Im going to be painting my 85' T with a bit of body work as well and was just curious on whats a good price??? Im probably going to stick with the two tone....Black on top and bottom and grey in the middle....

With new T-top weatherstrips, bumper fillers, and a wetsanded and polished paintjob, I just spent $9500. Car is absolutely lazer straight. Paint/primer/materials isnt cheap like it used to be. I paid for all the materials myself, and cost was $2800. The car came down to metal in most spots. That price was with me doing a good deal of the disassembly and reassembly.

Here's the finished product:

This car was well over $8k for paint back in 2002-3. Super straight and mirror smooth even after 6+ years.

Yikes on those prices but those cars are gorgeous. I just came back from Barrett Jackson in Palm Beach and there was a lot of "poor" collector car paint jobs / body work. Gaps big enough to stick your fender through, wavy body filler and orange peel EVERYWHERE!!! It takes some serious coin to get them right.

When it comes to paint/bodywork...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!! You will spend alot of $$$ to get it to look right...but you will be glad you did.

...GinoRin....you sure you didn't just paint a landscape picture on your door??

...Gorgeous!!:D
