I finally got some good data with the PL.

TT 5.6 Chip is 93/alky; timing 23/21; boost 25

I took 2.8 degrees of timing out in 3rd and 4th otherwise nothing else is changed.

My boost gauge reads 23 but the PL averages 24/25?

Run 2 is 3rd gear pull and run 3 is through the gears. My car builds boost pretty fast.

My thoughts on any adjustments would be to put the timing back in a couple degrees in 3rd and 4th. I think I have the room based on AFR.

One question; why does my ECM AFR not match my AEM gauge AFR in the data screen?

Sorry about the pic, I'm trying to figure out paint??

You may want to keep an eye on the duty cycle it was 92 % at one point, but according to the log you are still plenty rich.

Yeah I looked at the injectors too. I showed the log to Eric at TT and he said to keep running them as long as they're keeping up.

Would you pull fuel or advance timing?

I would not know how to advise you on an alcohol tune, but to me your file looks good for a first time log and it seem to spool very well. What I have fun doing is to get a PL file with a known et/mph attached and compare my own file on a separate computer. I have found that If you do a frame advance you can determine if you are making more or less power than the sample file (important to consider tire size for mph comparison). This worked well enough that I guessed my hp within 15 hp. BTW outstanding torque # in your signature.

Thanks for the help! The numbers in my sig were made by the previous owner. I have the dyno chart too. I think they had more boost put in the car when they made those numbers. He didn't have the powerlogger when he owned it. He had the boost at 25 on the boost gauge and I'm seeing 23 right now.

I'll probably leave this tune alone until spring and work on it at the track. I hate running the car this hard on public roads. I feel like I have a good tune to get it down the track safely in the spring and then I'll tune the car up to 25 psi and go from there.

Can you post the dyno graph? I would really like to see it. I'm making just a little more hp but your torque #s blow me away.

I love powerlogger.. id be worried about 92% duty cycle especially if you are going to be turning it up. But then again Eric knows his stuff and im.sure w alky it gives a lil more room. I would maybe do 60s over winter but thats just me..

I'm going to an SD chip in the spring so I will probably do 60's then just to be safe.

Thank you for posting. I am impressed with the torque # in run file 9. It's hard to read but it looks like 544 at about 3600?

Yeah it made the TQ at approx that rpm. I have the notes from the previous owner on how the fuel, timing and boost was set for each pull. Before I bought the car I went back and searched all the threads the PO made on this forum about the car. He was mentioning some weird knock issues when on the dyno which had me worried a little bit but now I know what it was. The knock sensor was finger tight the entire time he owned the car which through him off tuning it. Until recently I have kept the boost at 18/20 chasing false knock because of the loose sensor and I had a failing TQ converter too. Now I have the knock issue fixed and a WB and powerlogger so I have been upping the boost and logging. I also bought a custom converter from Dave Husek that is working like a charm. I can't wait to go back to the strip in the spring. I'm going to use slicks next time out and start at current settings with boost at 23. I will tune my way to 25/26 boost and see what she does. I would think if the 60's get in the 1.7's and the extra boost should get me in the mid elevens pretty easy.

My hp & torque #s were never far apart. Both #s peeked @ 443 around 5200 rpm with 22-23 psi. I now have torque envy!

Not really sure why my car made so much more TQ than HP? I didn't build the motor nor did the previous owner. I would have guessed TQ converter flash but it maintains the TQ number fairly well during the pull. It sure hasn't performed up to those numbers at the track but I never had the same tune in it either because of false knock.

If I can get those numbers at the track and get it to the ground I should have some pretty impressive 1/8 mile times.
