Just got my Scanmaster2 all hooked up, and I'm learning more and more each day. My questions are mostly with the O2mv and knock readings. My 02mv jumps around like crazy when I'm just cruising. It moves anywhere from 110 to 860. Is this normal? I understand that it is constantly reading the info, but it moves around so inconsistently, it just doesn't seem right. Second question. I'm showing a trememdous amount of knock retard when I mash the gas. The highest reading I got was when the boost hit 14psi in 1st gear--16.5degrees! The 02mv reading was at about 750ish. I have since turned the boost WAY down, as I am still running the stock fuel pump(for now). All of this info is on how I run the car every day....93 octane pump gas. I have an ATR pitbull chip in it, 10mm plug wires, adj fuel press. reg., adj. wastegate, Hooker 2.5" cat back exhaust. Any help figuring this stuff out would be golden to me!! Thanks in advance!!;)

to start with, loose the pitbull chip cause if you dont youll be spending money on a new motor like i did. to much timming in that chip and is probably why your showing so much knock.o2s do jump all over the place so that is normal. i would work on your fuel system too.:D

also, if your smoking the tires in first gear you could be getting false knock. 02s should be around 820 at wot on pump gas to be safe. try rasing fuel pressure a little bit.:D

It's normal to see the 02mv move around while at idle or cruising (healthy 02 sensor), you can also monitor the cc counts (MAF) and should see the movement from 0-255.

I'm also in agreement with turbot2112, lose the chip and upgrade your fuel pump.

Thanks guys.....I'll go back to the factory chip for now. I have a Walbro 340 on the way, just don't know when I'll be able to install it. After I get the fuel pump in, will I be able to run the Pitbull chip with a little more success?

Don't forget a hotwire kit too while you're messing with the fuel pump. I believe Casper's is the cheapest at $59, though there's a club that sells em for $45 on here....not as nice as Casper's though.

OK.....yanked the Pitbull chip and put the factory one back in.....0 knock and O2mv in the mid 850's @12psi when I floor it. Thanks for the advice, guys!

Buy yourself a Thrasher chip for your car. Works great smooth Idle and only $25!
