This is Farley, the 8' American alligator I've hired to guard the shop. He resides in the nearby lake. [Miss Goodwrench, the guard cat has died, and Slippery, the 6' black snake got married and moved to Fla.]
Farley has just had lunch I gave him.. a whole chicken, and is awaiting another.:D
He really likes chicken, be it bbq, grilled, raw, with/without feathers...It's all good!
NO! I don't hand feed him. He's THE apex predator he's always been, and lets me know if I get too close to his domain.. Bow his back, show his tail, and even growl if he's not it the mood to be disturbed.

Looks like a nice pair of boots, belt, wallet and matching man bag..............

Awesome. Love gators. I use to watch them suck up ducks in the canal behind my house in south Fl.

I used to have a dog who would sneak up and nibble my ears when I was under a car and defenseless. Hopefully Farley doesn't do the same! ;)

^^^ LOL I agree. If he does you could have a BBQ and the tail is really tasty if cooked right.

I think you could make a nice console armrest out of his hyde, then dye it gray to match. ;)

Wow Chuck, I know you moved to get away from the city, but did not know you went that far into the swamp.

I will have to re-think your invitation to vist with you?

We do not see any "Farley's" here in the desert, and want to keep it that way.:)

Looks like you and him are a good match.

Grandparents lived on the Rim canal in Okeechobee, and it's the only time when I was down there that I did any Fresh water fishing,But getting up at the crack of dawn,I found out the hard way that you HAVE to make some noise as you make your way to the boat slips, gators LOVE to hang on the concrete boat ramp after a nite full of chomping whatever they can find...interesting animal none the less...
