hi all, my name is jim and i am new to turbo buick world! i recently took an 87 turbo t on partial trade for my 9 second 85 camaro, and was wondering if someone could tell me if there is any rarity to my t/type, any feedback would be appreciated.! its an 87' lt blue with all black trim interior is dk blue floor shift. the odd part to the car to me is it has no pw,no pdl, no cruise cont, no pwr seat, it only has tilt wheel and a/c and is a hard top car. the car also has the orig. paint and interior and is in real nice shape. thnks for any info in advance. Jim

welcome:) i dont know how rare your car is but my 86 t-type doesn't even have tilt wheel, or the floor shift.

Your 87 T sounds like my buddies color combo. You might try Kirban to see if he has any info about rarity.

Where are you located?

Hi Jim.

That is a nice looking car you have. I've always liked that color.

As far as rarity....eh....let's just say they didn't as many of your car as they did of Grand Nationals of the same year. So I guess you could say it's somewhat rare, but desirable....that's a different question all together. I'm guessing your car is probably a J47 car which is a standard Regal, but came equipped with the turbocharged engine and T package.

I know, I have the same thing.....a J47 Regal equipped with the LC2 engine and the Y56 T package. But mine did come with power driver's bucket and power door lock and power windows too.

While your car is nice it is for the most part, looked over for the Grand National. It's also not as valuable as a grand National. As you can see the Grand National has always taken all the press while the T types have remained the "incognito" car. Not many know what it is when they see it, but some do. Grand Nationals.....everyone knows what they are.

The black trim is the "black out package", a commonly found trim option.

I noticed in another one of your posts you tossed the idea of selling it. I'd keep it if I were you, but if you really want to get your money's worth hold on to it for now. The market's been bad and these cars used to be hot sellers at top dollar, now no one is buying. Wait until the market comes back then put it up for sale. Or just keep it for yourself. ;)

Hey- I sent you an offer on the car, did you look at it yet? Check your private messages.
