New to the website but not the cars! I've been a Grand National fan for many years since i was a kid living in Texas, and have really had an obsession for a long, long time now. If I work my plan right in the next 9-12 months I can be in the market for a GN. I know they are all great cars but I am partial to the '87. I think I've done my homework ,but i want to know what I need to look for, more importantly what to look out for, and I figure this is the place to get those answers. Anyway any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Yelvie

Welcome aboard

Now that you're here and have some time, do a LOT of reading. Once you've read all you think you have go back and re-read and start asking questions. Go to your user controls and list your location so you can find out who's near to you for help. There's a lot on here as well as other sites and you said 9-12 months so that gives time to learn. Go to the welcome and your state section and say hello too. When you find a car you're interested in see if some one will go with you to look at it and they should be able to tell you if it's a go or no go. And once again, welcome aboard.

Damn Charlie, you are catching me on post count. AND I have three years on you!

Thanks for all the info I have been my office reading all day!! , but one thing is escaping me. what is the real difference between the we2 and we4 options??
Most of the articles i have read seem kinda wishy washy i would like for a person with some knowledge to give a honest difference between the two sine only 1547 of the we2s? were produced it would appear that would be a desirable car, but in reading the articles and handbooks you guys have turned me onto i have to be on the lookout for replicas and frauds. Thanks Yelvie

All these Buick fans coming around..

GM should put out a Buick GN that looks like the old G-body style. Camaro is doing it... Look at the Challenger, Mustang.. Ect.. Put that small V8 with a kick ass turbo.... Pontiac is putting together that small 8 with a super charger...and I think they are going to call it the GXP ? ? It's supposed to resemble the firebird.. but it looks far from it..

WE2 is the code for a Grand National. WE4 is the code for an `87 Turbo T in black and simular to a GN but with a solid-color interior. And I agree, WE4's are very desireable also.

Also WE4 had the 10 fin turbine aluminum rims, GN had the chrome steel rims. But yes WE4 on the outside looks like a GN minus the GN badges. And of course the all grey interior, whereas GN had black and grey.
