New TTA Toy!

I found the car I've been looking for! TTA #1543 was on the board a week or so back - and less than 100 miles from home. North Carolina car, rock solid sheetmetal, 90,000 miles (Didn't want a low miler, don't have the heart to cut one up). Interior needs HELP (N.C. sun I'd guess). What a hoot to drive! A T-R that sorta handles! Is the cooling fan running for like 5 minutes after cycling the key normal? Even cold? Haven't researched this problem but it doesn' seem right. It's gonna feel good to rescue one so solid & complete before it went to crap though. What amazed me the most is ALL vin stickers are intact, even the bumper covers, although it has a non-defog rear glass, it appears that someone swapped the sheetmetal (with the vin) to a different glass. Man, is this gonna be fun .

What are you going to do with the car? You said you did not have the heart to cut up a low mileage one, what are your plans for this one?

Well, the car runs well but I can forsee some upgrades (fuelpump, injectors, turbo) in its future. Probably subframe connectors, urethane bushings. I hope nobody takes it wrong as far as not wanting to cut up a low mile car, I know they are meant to be driven and enjoyed but low mile cars are low mile only once. With 90,000 miles on this one it's been driven and is going to get more! It just kind of amazed me that this car looks to have had a sort of tough life, but all of the stuff important to me (no rust/collision damage-stock drivetrain-all vin tags etc.) are all intact. Since opening a parts store 10 years ago I haven't had too many opportunities to pursue my love of painting and this car is begging for another chance. Thanks!
