New use for Razor's Kit

Ran out of gas thanks to the super G body fuel gauge. After a moment of depression decided to see if my dual nozzle would run it. Held the test button and it ran flawlessly the 2 miles to a filling station

Now you're gonna need to replace the fuel pump in the tank. Running them dry is a "no no".

I guess you could have walked to the gas station and bought a 2 gallon jug etc but oh well. BTW, the car had to have ran super lean on just alky to keep it going and moving under a load like that.

Good point. If I ever need to try this (and I think it's a brilliant idea!) I'll pull the fuse for the fuel pump.

That is awesome. I remember one of my buicks had the digital dash and the fuel gauge started acting up, I was about a mile from a gas station and the car was sputtering running out of gas so I did this same thing. It did work. I made it to the station after turning up the gain to 8 and holding the test button while driving. Glad you mentioned this.

Thought of the pump thing afterwards. Still seems fine however.... My wife was pissed because she always is giving me hell for running all the vehicles on fumes. :biggrin: I do have the dual nozzle and I run it @ 7 so I do not think it was that lean off idle with no boost. Next time I will unplug the pump!!!

I thought about dumping some REAL alky into the tank to get home one night, but who wants to waste good whisky??? LOL!
