Ok, I've never done a turbo 231.

I have a car that has a 231 in it now, I was looking at some of the stock turbo setups, and they all won't fit, its just too tight in there, theres very little room between the hood and the top of the motor, (the stock dualjet barly misses). The back of the motor is also very close to the firewall. Theres enough room on the sides of the motor, though.

Where should I start?

I just need someone to point me in the right direction.

Thanks

What kind of car do you have? You may be better of saving up and buying a nice used TR. I have heard that fitting a non turbo engine with a turbo and using all custom fab work can be very expensive, and labor intensive.

Nah, geting rid of the car is not an option, Its a 79 monza.

Transplanting a turbo engine into the car, instead of rebuilding this one for use for a turbo is what I might do.

Some specific questions, With the old manual system that the turbo is bolted directly ontop of the intake, would there be any negative conseqences of moving this assembly off the top of the intake, and running a pipe from the turbo to the top of the intake?

Can this turbo be turned at any angle? or will there be oiling problems?

Thanks
