Alright.. just wanted to say hey... newbie to this forum... first GN was picked up recently.

Hoping santa brings some parts.. she needs just a little TLC- seriously just a little.

I was kinda thinking the same thing when I saw that. lucky, you might want to do a search on those hookers, they may be hurting your performance.

Here are the pictures

A little back story Found the car from a friend of a friend, I am the car's 3rd owner, it was sitting for 4 years, and the owner needed cash and didn't have the money to keep the car on the road. So I paid lets say less than $3,000 for it, got EVERY RECIEPT INCLUDING THE ORGINAL WINDOW STICKER, the car has been serivce at a Buick dealer up until the owner feel on hard times at around 120,000. But he has reciepts for every service, brake, oil change even after the depature from dealer service.

As far as the list of upgrades- I slammed a battery in the car and drove it home 400 miles after it sat for four years!

1) Well first thing is first... the powermaster accumulator has gone out... I know I can downgrade to vaccum only out of another G body but either way get the brakes up and working better the work but intermittenly grab or feel like I am stepping on a beach ball.

2) PAINT PAINT PAINT... and filler panels front and rear- if you look the car looks great at a distance but the car sat for four years without protection, the paint has crow's feet all over the hood, roof and trunk only slight surface rust on those panels, a small rust bubble on the lower front edge of the door

3) the interior only needs a headliner... think Santa is brining that one. Then I am probably going to take the circa 1991 Pioneer and put the orginal AC Delco back in... I have that the perivous owner gave me a box of the orginal speakers, radio, exhaust manifold, downpipe etc.

4) It needs a new MAF hose (currenly duct taped together to get her running) and new Turbo boost hoses (santa) Eventual go cold air

5) Needs an AC compressor I pulled it off oiled it up and charged her up it ran then locked up

6) when I do the tune up go with 8mm wires

thats it for now...

nice find. x2 on getting rid of those hooker headers. seriously hurting performance and spool up.

Nice barn find, get all that stuff fixed and it looks like it will make a nice car.

Less than 3K, man what a deal!

Yea it was a pretty good find... a lot less work than my 91 Z28 needed/needs... there isn't even a fluid leak on the GN.

Very impressive car as it sits now, at any price. Good luck with it, it is going to be a lot of fun!

Supposedly only good for 9.90 and faster GN's. They hurt spool up and performance. If you do a search for them, there is lots of info. Most people can't give them away. I looked at them years ago thinking any aftermarket header has got to be better than stock, but it is not the case in this header. Since you have the stockers, you are probably better off swapping them back out. Either that or build your car to run 9.80's. :)

Thx for sharing the pix--most here are/will be envious. I know, pix don't usually tell a bad story--but interior looks good (sans $90-100 headliner fix...)...

I think I saw Red Regal T have a nice $150 "restored, complete T steering wheel... He also typically has good-used $150 Vac Brake replacement setups for the TB PwrDisaster system--(believe us when WE say this an UPGRADE, rather than a downgrade--as you referenced earlier).

I'd skip the typical $40-50 stock Turbo inlet "elephant trunk", & go to a used/ solid pipe w/ hose conns for less than $100...

YES, pls go back to the stock exh manifs (hopefully you also have a stock-type crossover pipe in the goodie boxes)...

A/C can be last--pending where you live, of course...

And finally, the cold air kit is way over-rated--do more research before you make this $$ move--but they can look impressive tho...

Good Luck,,, Monte

Welcome to the forum! This is a great group of people...you'll really enjoy it. Excellent barn find...congratulations!

Thanks everyone... this forum seems to be more active than previous GN/T type forums I have been on... already feel "at home"

Why shoot for only 9.8? :)

It moves quick! You can never catch it all unless you use the new posts button at the top.
