Since I am a relative noob to some aspects of head specs, I will have 2 or three sets of plugs of various flavors on hand at the Nats so the pro that may be coaching me can recommend what he thinks. I have most of the plugs that were recommended ^^^ so I should be well covered. I am still running Champion irons so the half inch reach was the most important aspect of ordering all of them. Since I’ll likely run very high boost, I’ll start out with Mr. Spools suggested mr43T plugs being delivered today. I’m running stock coils but also have a Caspers volt booster to install so now I need gapping suggestions. Did a health check on the alternator yesterday and it is putting out a solid 14.1 at idle. My guess is .23 to .26 running 40# max. But standing by for opinions.
.24 or lower on the gap

I’ll go with . 22 and see what happens at 40psi BTW WTF?? AC Delco is in China? Look at these pics they just arrived….

On the ta heads if using a stock ecm unfortunately the common plug will not work.some of us found out the hard way without being told from the vendors😉
They not only didn't tell us, they recommended and perhaps ( I don't know ) still do recommend the same non resistor plugs without a disclaimer.
As far as elixir lol I prefer my bottle doesnt lie to me and go straight for the whiskey or bourbon 😉
Oh, it lies to you in many ways. It tells you that you're smart, hansom, witty, and charming. At least, that's what my elixir tells me. Captain Morgan allows me to set sail and never leave dry land.

I have had the conversation with those in power telling them what I found years ago.
I personally dont give a shit about paying a little more for a different plug that works.
Chasing my tail to find these things out sucks and my time is worth money.
Especially after paying that kind that money.
Couple if bucks for a plug is not an issue.

Aren't I lol

The brisk also uses the silver core which is very hard to foul out
So I have found you can run a much colder plug on the street and not foul out and get the protection of the colder plug when the things start heating up from street use.
I still get a kick out of learning something new. I have never heard of this. I almost always have the NGK TR6 plugs in my heads because I don't like how quickly the BCR8ES plugs foul and the occasional blast from second to third gear doesn't create the heat that might cause pre ignition when I use the TR6 plugs. Since I'm a stupid torque junkie ( don't care how much anything costs when it come to my car ) I'm going to have to pick up a set of the Brisk plugs. If it costs more and I get something for the extra cost, I'm all in. What number can I run to safely not foul and avoid pre ignition?

Quick update, I just received my plugs BCR8ES ordered monday came thursday. Plan to use these plugs for WOT high boost runs 20-30psi. Also picked up NGK TR6 from local autozone for $4 a plug, these will be for street driving low to mid range boost 10-20psi.

Well, I finally came out on the good end of an online order. I ordered 6 of these and they sent 5 in individual boxes. However, they counted a box of four as a single plug. I got 3 extra plugs!!! See pic.. Now, should I contact the company and tell them? My first instinct it to tell them as I stole 1 thing in my life and it was a Duncan YoYo from TGnY store. My dad ask me how I got that yo-yo and me being who I am told him I put it in my pocket and left without paying for it. After I got beat with a plumb tree limb, I had to walk in and hand it over to the store manager. This is 3 extra plugs that probably cost less than shipping them back. Curious to see what others would do…

I will give you 2 options
You can call the brisk teck line like I did and spend some time going through your combo and driving habits and potential cylinder pressure and let him guide you.
Or I will tell you what I run and why.
Our needs may not be the same so you may need a different heat range but who knows.
Your fouling out is why I run the silver brisk😉

You dont need 2 different plugs for different boost levels.

Wait just a hot damn minute here. You told me to get the AC Delco MR43T and now you say your running the Brisk… so I just bought 2 sets of the MR43T as I am trusting your opinion. So what is the deal here? Trying to take good advice here..

Nats aren’t even here yet and the disinformation campaign has started. Just for that, I am not going to run any plugs… Can’t run the wrong ones if I don’t run any,,, Ha!!

I believe the MR43T is for iron heads , The Brisk plugs we called out are for aluminum heads.

Is there a plum tree in your yard?

I won't say one way or the other, but in my opinion, the question above says it all.

YOU chose to swipe the Yo Yo.

YOU didn't hire the picker/packer, so the issue is not on you.

But you are you, and, in the end, even though it's just spark plugs, you have to live with you. (Keep 'em) ;)

But I'm me and you are you..............

You told us because you feel guilty and wanted someone to tell you it is OK.
Send a check for the price of the extras and you will feel better, regardless of what you admit to us. We don't care, but then again we don't live inside of your head.....
On a lighter note, hey T Guy! I still don't have my motor together, and we haven't hooked up yet either! I did buy more stuff that I don't need for my T. How goes it with you?

Iron head vs aluminum.
I have many cars and I work on others as well.
My posts were very specific
