Looking for info on the rear brake setup on a 96 Nissan Maxima. They are disc brakes with a parking brake of course. The caliper pistons "screw in" instead of the normal front piston design.

Does anyone know how to compress the pistons on these? Is there a special tool required to lock into the piston and turn it, or is there something like an allen-wrench access spot to turn them in/out?

TIA.....if anyone does know!

Go to the auto parts store and get a adjusting tool so you can turn the piston. They twist in.

Thanks Rob - I called my friend at the parts store and they said the same thing so I feel better about doing the job.
