Nitto's vs. ET Streets

I am picking up a spare pair of T-type rims. I am looking at ethier the Nitto 275/50/15, or ET Streets (not sure which size). I will only use them at the track and sometimes on the street. I probably won't be breaking 12.7's, so I don't think I will need anything crazy. I am leaning towards the Nittos, but I'm not sure if the ET Streets are "better".

Get the 275 50 Nitto's for daily use. Nitto's don't wear out like BFG DR's. Buy the et streets or slicks for the track

If you expect to get caught in the rain, get Nitto's. Theyre EXCELLENT in the rain. If you will never get caught in the rain and want balls out traction, get ET Streets. My buddy pulled a 1.55 60' on them. Not bad for a DOT tire

If you are hunting traction only for the track et are the only way to go ,but not really a good street tire and they scary in the rain . Like i said traction is et street .

tough decision for me too

I was torn between these two choices also, and finally decided
to go with the ET Streets.
Due to the limited use of my TR, tire wear, rain and cornering were
not as much a concern as getting my tires to hook up when I stab
the throttle. It was fun for awhile listening to my street radials
screaming in pain when I pushed em, but that got old quick.
I haven't put them on the car yet, so I cant say how they work
but I'll be glad when I can actually do a holeshot without tearing
the tires loose.
BTW: If youre running the stock wheels, you'll need to go with
the 26x10.5-15, apparently the 26x11.5 is too wide to use on
those. Ordered mine from John Cafolla at LedSLED motorsports,
nice guy to do business with...

if your not going to use them much on the streets, then SLICKS for the track--
26x9x15 mickey thompson et drags would be my choice since you dont plan on driving around in the rain anyway, right?

i absolutely love my 28x10.5x15 et drags- they are what really got the power to the ground!!

Will a 28x10.5x15 fit a T/R that doesn't have the framerails cut? Will the clear with factory aluminum wheels? I would rather run the taller tire. But I am not into cutting up the frame.

i dont think that they fit right with the stock t-type wheels-

im using the western wheels, and they have a 4 inch backspace.
no frame cutting,.. but unless your making lots of power, id stick with the 26x9x15 and they wont ever rub, and you dont have to cut up your car-
