Can someone help me with this problem? I went to the track last week and ran a best time of 13.4 at 96mph. 87 t-type 3.8 turbo the engine has been rebuilt by dave miller in east windsor ct. the engine has been punched .030 over, the heads are stock with performance valve springs, stock crank, the problem is the car should be running in the 11's easy with the set up i have. I am running with a te-60 turbo with 50lb injectors. A 3inch downpipe, a front mount intercooler, a single stage alky kit, the transmission has been rebuilt and has a art carr 3000 stall speed convertor. I am runnig lousy 0-to 60 foot times. the car should be screaming down the track. I am getting no mile per hour out of the car. the car has never been dynoed so i don't know what the horsepower rating is? I hope someone can give me some feedback on this problem? I have a scanmaster 2.1 which is reading that all functions are in the specifications needed. any feedback will be greatly appreciated. i can be reached at turbotype87@yahoo.com the only thing i can think of is that when they put the engine together they maybe didn't set the timing correctly.

chip

I bought the chip from a guy off o ebay who said the chip was made for his car with the same set up.

Off hand, I would say that chip isn't setup for your car. No MPH means no horsepower. Do you have a scan tool? Can you post some numbers like 02's, BLM's, timing, boost, etc. If you don't have a scan tool, get one. It's almost impossible to resolve an issue without one. Did this guy on ebay say who made the chip?

I would start with a new chip. Turbotweek is adjustable so you can customize fuel and timing.

What was your 60 ft? 13.4 @ 96 MPH tells me you are hooking pretty good regardless.
My stocker went 14.3 @ 96 MPH with a 2.30 60 ft.

I understand you are looking for MPH (I would be too with those mods)
110-114+ I would guess

Don't think it's wise to install a chip w/o knowing characteristics. For less that $100 (probably the best money you'll ever spend) you can have Eric at TurboTweak (website addy given in earlier post) make one "that's yours" & you'll then have a good base to start performance/tuning tweaks,,,
