How do I know what turbo I have if someone ground off all castings, numbers, etc.?

It has a 4" inlet and 3" outlet....
 
I wouldnt think there would be any real way to tell with no numbers on there. Unless you measured the wheels, which would be kind of hard. Maybe sned it in to limit, or precision??????

I was told by the seller of the car that it is a PT72. Does this help with identifying?
 
Well, I dont think so. That has to do with either the compressor wheel size, or the combination of that and the A/R. Im not sure. I still think it would be hard to identrify without numbers. With it being that big either way, it would probably spool pretty slow on a stock convertor car.
 
Pics and measurement of the wheels woud help a bunch. Gve us the blade count on the exhaust wheel and post pics.
