Noisey Planetary's in 1st Gear

I had a BRF rebuilt that I bought used (never heard trans working). I had a performance rebuild on the trans and put it in my car. The trans works and shifts real good. The only problem is the planetary's are a lot noiser than any other 200R4's I've driven - compared to the original trans or my Montes. You will hear the wine when the trans shifts from 2nd to 1st when stopping (about 8 mph to 0 mph). Is this a sign of damage occuring? I've drop the pan twice in a couple hundred miles and no real stuff in the pan. Would you guys suggest pulling the trans and replacing the planetary gears? Any thoughts would be appeciated.

some ratio noise is normal.as long as there isnt any grinding you should be safe for a long while.

I had a Hurst Olds that did that for years with no problems.

Planetaries on these trannys seem to have a lot of side play(not wobble).

They are most noticeable in the instance described in the original post. Every 200 ive ever experienced had some degree of planetary whine in 1st. Some a little more than others. Ive never seen a planetary failure in one of these unless the cooling circuit failed or the filter was clogged. I have seen some OD planets with a bad wear pattern though.

What's the best way to keep an eye on this? I guess dropping the pan every once in a while? I don't hear any grinding just a whine when stopping and the car is in 1st gear only. So, the consenses is don't worry about it and just drive it?
