Have T-Type Regals ever came from the factory non turbocharged with say a 307 v8 or any other NA engines ?

You could get the T package with no turbo, and no bubble hood, with the 307. It is even shown in one of the factory 87 brochures.

Ok thanks, I know where a nice one is that may be for sale. Any idea how they hold value or what's even a fair price for one in great condition?

As noted Buick did build them you could even get the black out package on it in 1987 basically a ploy for buyers to avoid higher insurance costs as insurance companies caught on to the engine code 7 in the VIn number of turbo cars and realized the potential of a turbo.

as to value at best maybe a grand over a regular Regal they never took off among collectors great candidate car if its a non rusty example for either a turbo engine or a another engine.

also these would have the smaller rear end 7.5 not the desireable 8.5

Just for grins and general knowledge... the "T" stands for 'touring' (as in suspension), not 'turbo'.

I had one, 1987 only (apparently only late in production as well)... it came with an Olds 307.

I pulled it out and put a 400 SB in it. she didn't last long in this world ... too much frame rot.

Parted back in 2008ish.

- and no bashing on my photoshopped antenna.

Not much value at all, unfortunately .. You'll get basic Regal limited money. However, I suppose a clean, whole 27-28 year old car has to have some value.

There were also people that were scared of that new fangled electronic fuel injection or didn't think a 6 would make the power.

It wouldn't be that same gunmetal grey T floatin' around ebay for 20,000 dollars would it? I admit, grey T's are DAM hot cars, but not even a real turbo T is worth 20,000 dollars. The dude dreaming to sell it accidentally ingested crack when he thought it was aspirin or something.

Pix? Mileage? Mechanical issues?

I would think a real nice low mile example could fetch $6-7k from the right buyer. Probably more of a $4500 for one with moderate mileage, nice gut/paint and no rust.

This "collector" shit is crazy
That car has lower production numbers than the gnx. Yet it has very little value i don't get it.

Rare doesn't equal desirable. In this car's case, a nonperformance limited edition just doesn't get the value.

i get that but it is still crap hype thing.
A gnx doesn't have $50k worth of performance over a GN but people pay that and much more over a GN. Doesn't make the slightest amount of sense.

Back to the 307 Ts if i had the space id have one and leave it OE. Id most likely be the only one at any given cruise night spot.

Simple supply and demand....both a non turbo T and GNX have very low production numbers but there is just no demand for a non turbo T like there is for the GNX....something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Perfect candidate for a turbo LSX swap though!

Well, a 69 z28 doesn't offer much performance advantage over a base 6cyl, but it sure commands a price premium. Same with an L78 or L89 396 camaro or chevelle over a base ss396 but the price difference is substantial.

It's not on eBay its local to me. Trying to work out a deal but if I decide not to get it you guys will be the first to know that it's up for sale.

Strange they came with a 7.5. Seems to me its basically a 442 with a Buick body. And for some reason The General felt that anemic 307 needed the 8.5 in that application. Not that I'm complaining...I have an 86 442, and I like the fact it has the G87 and G80 codes. Too bad my GN is an open rear.
