not shifting at WOT

my tranny shifts good and fine except at WOT...sometimes from a roll it'll shift hard if i hit WOT just a little delayed..otherwise the tranny shifts fine..its only under WOT that it will jus stay in first an rev high...what could be goin on? im a n00b so help me out..i read something about a governor spring..could that be it?? how hard is that to put in?

What do the rpm go to? Is the 2-3 OK?

My 2-3 shift is great. Its only 1-2 that wont shift at WOT. Not sure of my rpms though.

To get to the governor you'll need to drop the pan. You'll see the governor cover held on by 4 screws at the rear. Remove cover and governor just comes out. Looks like this

does anyone sell that part??? i searched www.gmpartsdirect.com for part number 8655976 as it says in that picture..but i cant find that part anywhere online

there's not even a governor on that website for anything oh yea i have a B&M shiftkit too if that makes a difference..

You shouldn't have to replace it, just see if the spring is laying in the pan and put it back on the govenor.
