Ok not sure where to post this. I am really good with fiberglass and thinking about taking the dual pod holders that sit under the radio in our cars and doing a small run and making some that hold the scan masters that everyone has seeing as there really no where to mount them any place. Testing the water to see how many people would be looking for an item like this? They would be painted semi-gloss black to look really sharp in our cars. Please give me a little insight all. Ok nice to see a good response I will go ahead and order a few of the center pods and get started. I'm thinking they will be in the 60 buck range plus shipping. Not to bad for a sought after item we all want and I will make sure it is a quality part seeing as I will be hand fabricating each one and if would not be willing to put it in my car I would not someone else putting it in there car and not be happy with it. . Been thinking of making a SM pod out of fiberglass or asking a friend of mine to make a protoptype out of carbon fiber that would attach above the mirror on the plastic trim. Making one that fits there or high on the driver side pillar. Having it attached above mirror would be in the line of sight, you wouldn't have to look down and take your eyes off the road.

Im mounting mine on the dash above the instrument cluster. No point in having it where you can't read it? I had it above the radio console, but might move it. Still hard to see there if you really need to be watching it. But, I like the alternative for those who use it occasionally, and want a nice display for it. Mine isnt even permanently mounted. Mounts with velcro and plugs into the ciggy lighter. No point in tipping off someone, plus to cops it looks like a radar detector, Which they hate seeing.

Mine sits o top of dash with velcro holding it in place, can't see it at times because of glare. Either need to mount it high above rear view mirror or get one of those ScanMaster shade covers which work great from what I've heard and read.
