Noticeable mpg gains with K&N? (non-buick)

Basically just as the title says. With the increasing gas prices I'm trying to do everything possible to squeeze mpg out of daily driver. I thought about putting in an OEM replacement K&N air filter.

They claim mpg gains, I'm just wondering if they will even be noticeable.

I would say nope.

I get 2-3mpg from a K&N FIPK on my '00 F150.

I'd say no also. I guess it could give you better mileage, but I can't keep my foot out of the gas because you can hear your intake better. My GMC get's a steady 13.5 mpg, everyone else I know with the same truck gets 16 or 17 mpg.

You guys saying no must have never used a K&N.Ill bet you either one of my GN's that you will pick up hp and mileage.

Ive put them on everything I owned since I started driving.On my 95 Grand Cherokee with a v8 I picked up over 50 miles to the tank installing a spare K&N cone I had lying around.And yes thats 50,five zeroAnd the stock paper filter that I replaced it with had about 5k miles...
