Do i need to replace both front seats for them to match? My passenger side is perfect. Thanks, Bob-the new thread whore :D

I think they only sell in pairs. Nice if they sold just a drivers side.

There was a group but years ago and we asked if we could just get a drivers side. My DS is nice and the rest are showroom new. But I would get a new DS if that was offered. But no dice Unless they changed their stance. :p

I would do both as you will find the leather Jax uses is slightly thicker and even if they are pretty much spot on the stitching might be slighly different.

What I did was to do both, my passanger side was pretty nice so another TTA owner bought that one off me to do his driver side. Both of us were happy that way.

I don't wanna be a buzz killer here but, if you are trying to reproduce the stock seats, it ain't gonna happen! The stock leather was polished! Weird, I know but true. That's why they were/are so fragile. I had my interior redone in 2000, the color is spot on but the actual look is very different and it was an 8k price tag. It's true that the interior I had done was custom but, even if you choose JAX, the 1 cover will look different than the other 3 soooo! You need to have all 4 seats covered. If you really don't care about the apperance and/or resale, go for the JAX. If for some reason of insanity you choose to have a pro shop cover your seats, it takes at least 2 hydes that was $600.00 a hyde 10 years ago. I think bowling would have been a much cheaper hobby! NAAAAA! That ain't happnen!

Your not a buzz kill, it ain't a Hemi Cuda :D

Well my friend, I was afraid you'd bring that up!

I honestly believe MOPAR is trash! I still don't understand the over publicity of these cars and for the life of me I can't believe their popularity. Great marketing I guess which, was the TTA's down fall, 0 marketing. Do you realize that there's probably less than 700 of these cars left. They just keep getting COOLER! Hell! Line um up stock to stock on any test and see what happens.
Just sayin!

Expensive Trash :D

Yes..... That's why I want to fix the seat

Hell! Line um up stock to stock on any test and see what happens.
ACtually, They got a bone-stock 1969 440-6 Superbee (one of my pieces of Trash...) to run a high 12 right off the showroom floor on 15" Bias Ply's in 1969

also don't forget that these cars are 20 years old... everything in the interior has faded over time. new seat covers won't be an "exact" match no matter what you do.

that said - i replaced both front seat covers with jax a few years back... search my name and jax seat covers and you'll find a writeup i did about their quality. covers have worked out well - i am happy with them. only complaint would be the quality of the stiching (see my other thread for pics).

Firschaser, I think maybe we should get in one of our Trash Mopars and go drive over top of 89ICBM's TTA!
MMMM.... I think Dave Dudek just ran a 10.18 @ 136 in his '69 Hemi Road Runner. (November issue of Hot Rod) F.A.S.t. class. Didn't blow a headgasket either.:)
I have both Hemi Mopars & Turbo Buick & TTA. All are awesome cars but different. If I have a Hemi car out and someone asks is it fast? I will tell them, if I want to go fast I will get in a Turbo Buick. You must give credit where credit is due. Put todays technology in a old Mopar then you will have a real ICBM!!!

their website is still down... is jax really back in business???

Yes, they came back with a different name...I don't know the name though.

Something fishy is going on though. I would probably avoid buying from them. You don't just up and leave a settled company..

Yeah Steve that FAST class is really interesting to keep up on, they really get them cars flying! Maybe I'll stick a 6765 on the (trash) Superbee and run in the 8's :p Love 'em or hate 'em...big old Big blocks are cooool

Hmmm!

Well, let me just say that I was just voicing my personal opinion on MOPAR. Last time I checked, this was a TTA forum, you know, a Pontiac 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am forum. Not! A “I got soooo much money I own a MOPAR product from the 60’s.” Please! In all do respect! Let me just say that ‘A fool and his money are soon parted.‘ I know, some folks like nostalgia, that’s cool by me but, I was there, the cars weren’t that fast. Oh yea! They ran on leaded gas and got about 9 miles per gallon. This was really cool since gas was about $0.37 a gallon.
OK! Let’s talk about some other stuff. The best of these cars (MOPAR) was high 12’s, pretty good really, even to this day, um, oh yea, with a very large V8 and no emissions control. Darn! Don’t ya just hate facts. Oh yea! I forgot to mention that most of the interior was plastic and the sheet metal was very thin, another words (cheap s***). That’s why the Road Runner you so proudly boast about sold for 3K . It was marketed to high school kids. Did you know that your very rare Road Runner was made for 12 years? The TTA was only Produced for 6 month’s! Here’s some other interesting facts, since 1 of you 2 brought up new technology.
The hemi heads were designed and built 1901. The turbo was designed and built in 1905. The Buick/GM 3.8 liter 6 cylinder was produced in 1962 and the Chrysler hemi heads were produced in 1964.
OK boys, you’ve been haven yer fun, I’m hip to that. But! I’m 5th generation Irish and you called me out. So! Bring those punk a** MOPARS on down here to Texas and take a good old southern a** wiping! I’ll buy the beer, steak and barbeque. Hell! Maybe a good Scotch or 2, I am Irish ya know. HA!
Hey guys, really, take your MOPAR pride to a MOPAR forum.:D

89ICBM, This thread was not started to turn into this bashing by any means and I am sorry it did However, You really have no clue what you are talking about regarding older Mopars or probably any muscle car, and the fact you would call any car "trash" basically makes you an inconsiderate individual regarding others' car hobbies. Virtually every statement you made (thin sheet metal...U gotta be kidding me!, Plastic interiors???..dont think so, big V8's....well, throw computer controlled EFI on any old muscle V8 and see what happens, High 12's....yeah, on BIAS PLY tires...throw them on a new vette and see what your 60 foot times are smartass!)

That being said, I think the Buick powered Turbo cars are unbelieveable and a technological marvel for their day, why I am spending so much time, effort and funds on building my GN to go fast and why I own a TTA. Your in a CAR FORUM my friend, not a good place to bash ANY kind of car, many members have other cars they cherish just as much as their TTA's.....look at some sig's once in awhile.

Hey Frank,
Were just having fun. I don't care who has what or drives what. In 1979 I bought my first car a 1970 Charger R/T for $495.00. I had saved 500.00 but needed gas money to get the car home. I got into Mopars because they were cheap not because I had soooo much money. Also I'm on this forum because, I was on the Mopar forums braggin about the fast V6's and they told me to come here?

Re-Suscribed (but I still sold the TTA  )
